Season’s Greetings from Gregory Architects

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been an exciting and fulfilling year at Gregory Architects.

2024 saw the completion of some remarkable projects, including York Street Station, a testament to innovative design and seamless collaboration. We also celebrated significant milestones, such as the Omagh Innovation Hub—a project that started on-site earlier this year and is now nearing completion, embodying Omagh’s commitment to fostering creativity and community. Additionally, the DVA Mallusk MOT Centre has successfully moved to the construction phase, marking another step forward in enhancing public infrastructure.

Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to have several large-scale projects on the horizon in 2025. We are eager to continue delivering thoughtful, impactful designs that leave a lasting positive impression.

To our clients, contractors, and collaborators—thank you for your trust, partnership, and dedication. Your support and hard work are what make these achievements possible.

From all of us at Gregory Architects, we wish you a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year filled with success, inspiration, and new opportunities.

Here’s to building an even brighter future together in 2025!

Warm regards,

The Gregory Architects Team

As we wrap up another incredible year, our hearts are filled with gratitude.

To our amazing followers, clients, and dedicated teams: Thank you for being the foundation of our success and the joy in our journey. Your trust and support help us to create spaces that inspire and endure.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas filled with warmth, joy, and unforgettable moments. May the spirit of the season bring you peace, love, renewed hope and Baileys.

Look after one another and have some pleasant family time (this can be achieved by avoiding family board games in my house). Here’s to a bright and prosperous New Year ahead!

As architects, we strive to capture the essence of our projects through the interplay of materials and light. As the saying goes, ‘architecture appears for the first time when the sunlight hits a wall. The sunlight did not know what it was before it hit a wall.’ (20 points if you can name that architect.)

Material boards are an excellent exercise, allowing us to comprehend not only colour but also textures, shapes, themes, feelings, senses, patterns, and properties. Materiality has the power to evoke emotions and shape our experiences within a space.

Our design has been influenced by the industrial prowess, historical charm, and craftsmanship of Belfast City. The city’s distinctive red clay brick, closely ties to our architectural heritage, particularly during the Edwardian and Victorian eras, exudes beautiful warm and earthy tones that are integral to Belfast’s visual identity.

This material mood board serves as a visual guide and inspiration for one of our upcoming projects. We look forward to sharing more details soon!

For our final instalment of drawings for St Patricks Church in Dungannon we step into the world of timeless grandeur with a sectional drawing through this Gothic Revival church. This artful slice reveals the soaring arches, intricate details, and ethereal light suggestions that define this architectural gem.
