Picture the scene. A trendy pub tucked down a town centre alley, with customers spilling outside after work for that much needed Friday night pint. Rustic seating runs the full length of the alley, the atmosphere is spot on, but there is one rather messy problem. Pigeon p**p. Everywhere π¦π©
Lee from NI Pest and Proofing was called in to sort this rather awkward little quandary, and it makes a brilliant curve ball entry for Installer of the Month.
Defender Thistle was installed on the wall mounted pipe work, electric lighting and fuse boxes to stop pigeons using those handy little perching spots above the seating area. So far, so good.
But pigeons being pigeons, they then moved to the flower baskets above the seats πΈWith the stunning geraniums still only small, Lee used the bendable Defender Thistle in a wonderfully clever way, carefully shaping it and cable tying it over the plants to protect them until they are fully grown and ready to spill beautifully down the wall.
Not only will the Thistle stop pigeons from taking advantage of the flower baskets as a perch, it will also act as a temporary growing support for those fabulous flowers.
We like this one for thinking outside the box and a lovely example of just how easily Defender Thistle can be bent into those awkward curved shapes when the job calls for something a bit different π
Thank you Lee for sending in the photos and for using Defender Bird Spikes.
If you are in Belfast and have an awkward pigeon problem, Lee from NI Pest and Proofing is your man π¦β¨
