We recently carried out a Cavity Wall Tie survey on behalf of a customer. Attached is a picture of one of the failed wall ties.

Signs of wall tie failure can be hard to detect as they are hidden behind walls.

If you notice any of the following signs, this may be an indication that the wall ties are failing.

* Horizontal cracking
* Bulging walls or brickwork
* Sagging lintels
* Cracks/separation of your window reveals
