•TRANSFORMATION•
I do love a good before and after photo. A year on and I still can’t decide on a mantel or not for the chimney breast. We squared off the arch to give it a more contemporary look and I just love seeing those clean lines with no fuss.
Loving my cooker, it’s getting some hammering at the moment with all six of us at home!! Did I mention my teenagers eat more than the adults? Anyone else got the same problem? 🤣

•WINDOW SEAT•
Just look at these lovely photos I was sent today, of a window seat I made a few months ago. What a gorgeous room!! Thank you 🤍 it all looks beautiful!!
On another note, epic fail on homeschool today but I have had a refresher of the nine times table......🥴 please tell me I’m not on my own!!

*Christmas wreath*
Super happy with this years effort, my lovely friend got me some supplies from the wholesalers and I had a little go on my own. It’s not quite as refined as my previous years but I’m happy with the end result. The pheasant feathers make a repeated appearance as I save all my accessories every year but loving the new lotus flowers added this year.

*Upholstery day*
These beauties were delivered today, recovered in Omega velvet yorkstone. They’ve also had a bit of wood polish and new foam seat pads. Looking mighty fine I’d say!! What do you think?
Moving onto the next job, it’s Christmas crazy in the workshop for the next few weeks but it’s 1st December so the countdown is officially on 🎅🏼

* DOER *
I’m definitely a doer! Someone who just gets on and does things.
I recently bought some gorgeous dusky pink velvet fabric, that would sit perfectly in Islas new bedroom. She’s had a new dressing table/desk for her birthday so I’ve made her a double stool made out of some wood that I had left over from a recent footstool
She can now sit side by side with her bestie and put those monstrous eyelashes on 🤣🤣 (if you have a teenage girl you’ll know exactly what I mean 😉)
The love of the fluted cushion continues......
I make bespoke items so if you see anything you like on my grid, just give me a holler 🙌 x

* UPCYCLE *
A little weekend project now that we’re not racing around taking the kids to various sports. I’m definitely going to enjoy a slower pace at the weekend.
I’ve got a busy few weeks ahead of me making and upholstering so trying to get ahead of myself with a few of my own projects.
Using my trusty satinwood water based paint. The finish, as always is great 🙌
I love to try and reuse what I have in my home instead of buying new. I’m a big fan of second hand furniture. These two bedside drawers I bought for the first home I ever owned in 1999 when I was 23 😱 jeez that makes me feel old!!

**Herringbone floor - Day 6**
So there was no posting about day 5 as it all went a bit wrong. The floor didn’t fit (5mm out 🥴) when it came together around the island. Today I’ve had to take half of it back up and run it through and under the island and thank god it now fits 😅
It’s a good job I love the floor because I could have given up five times over.
Perseverance is something I’m known for. Used it all up today 🤣 Now for fizz!

DAY 3 and it’s really looking good 🙌
I can’t quite believe how good it’s looking and that I’ve done it 😳
I definitely need a robot hoover, so if anyone has any recommendations I’d love to hear 🙌🙏🏼

*CHAISE LONGUE*
If ever I was tempted to lie down and take a break on a comfy chair it would be this one!
It’s had a freshen up with new fabric and looks fab! I feel like I gained some extra muscles moving this one around 🤣

Three beautiful pink velvet cushions heading off to their new home. Piped in pink and backed in grey velvet so you can change them over with your mood 💗🤍

*Grey Beauty*
Here she is, in all her glory!! Finished and delivered this week. So pleased how she’s turned out. We used Omega velvet with a single piped edge.
I love the contrast of the pristine velvet against the cane and the weathered wood 😍
