Wright Tidy Gardens

Wright Tidy Gardens Self employed gardener with a passion for what I do! Trained to RHS level 2 and WRAGS graduate. I haven't looked back since.

Having worked for 20 years in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist in mental health I decided aged 40 I needed a new challenge. I enrolled on an RHS course at Waterperry gardens which I did alongside my NHS work. Loving the course I took on looking after one private garden and from there things snowballed, just through word of mouth. Eager to learn more horticultural skills I also started working

2 days a week at a large private estate in West Oxfordshire on the Work and Retrain as a gardener scheme through the wonderful WFGA. Finally in October 2021 I decided to take the plunge and left my NHS job.

Lavender pruning time. When the flowers have faded in colour and bee’s have stopped visiting it’s time to cut back. Avoid cutting into old wood. Pruned a little less hard this year to protect tips if we have another exceptionally hard winter.
