You are never too old to learn something new! Really enjoyed meeting everyone on the Heritage Bootcamp run by North Deven College and hosted by Pearce Construction. We learned about heritage restoration along with having a go at Stone Masonry (Cliveden Conservation Workshop), Lime rendering & plaster work (Sean Wheatley Plastering Specialists) along with sash window repair(Whitacre Bespoke Carpentry)

This property was worked on over the course of the summer 2025. I was finally able to visit and take some pictures of this property furnished. The renovation was undertaken by Jenkinson Potts Construction Ltd and we were asked by the property owner to carry out the decoration working alongside them. I think you will agree that it now looks amazing.

It was great returning to one of our previous clients recently. After the client had a new kitchen installed and new flooring put down from front door through the hall into the kitchen, we returned to hang new paper in the hallway and paint up the stairs onto the landing. The old paper was removed in the kitchen, the walls made good before two feature walls were painted (we love a spash of colour).

The client wanted to give this room a clean look and chose to go all white.

Before starting the wood burner and flue was masked.

Due to the amount of light coming into the room we used a dead flat ceiling paint, Albany AF1.

The walls were given two coats of Crown Vinyl Matt - white. The old natural pine woodwork was cleaned and prepared before applying Tikkurila Intact Primer and Intact 40.

The old pelmets and curtains were removed, curtain tracks repositioned and the new curtains hung. A new rail for the blinds was installed before new privacy sheers being hung. Curtains supplied by Curtains2go and sheers by Blinds2go

We have come across this issue quite often recently. Modern builds, new plaster being primed with contract matt paint, large shower heads, inadequate extraction and airflow all adding up the the breakdown of the paint film.
