Just a heads up on some of the materials we uplift;
Rubble.... loose bricks, stones, concrete broken slabs etc,if small amount preferably bagged in strong rubble bags, not black bin liners!
Plasterboard is not classed as rubble!
Garden waste...... bags of weeds, soil, turf, plants, grass cutting etc
Preferably bagged in strong rubble bags,or if lot's of cuttings etc put them in a builders bulk bag,as long as it's liftable.
Plant pots, polystyrene, plastic trays, gloves, weed matting is not organic garden waste!
Scrap metal uplift.... this is usually a free uplift when we are in the area, scrap metal means metal!
Not tyres on rims, plastic car bumpers, wood,or basically anything that isn't metal.
Scrap metal isn't worth a fortune at the moment and we will never lift scrap metal in exchange for taking your general waste away!
We will take away branches, but must be cut down small enough for us to handle.
Bathroom jobs..... please when you are having a bath removed, leave it upside down and do not be tempted to use it as a skip!
A..it fills up with water
B.. it's very time consuming bagging up stuff that's been put in the bath, and the materials have to go somewhere separate anyway.
Plasterboard.....if doing large strip out jobs we can take full and half sheets away as long as they have been kept dry!
Small amounts of plasterboard should be bagged up in strong rubble bags.also kept dry if possible.
To save us time and to save you money,it is advisable to have your waste uplift on driveway if possible or as near for us to load up a large van or large trailer.
Access is a premium for us, hence we always need full address/postcode and directions if rural before quoting.
Sofas/upholstered seating, armchairs, office chairs, basically anything you sit on that has fire retardant is expensive to dispose of nowadays,so far the council are still including these in a ten item £40 uplift.
One sofa for us to dispose of costs us £45 plus our handling fee etc.
The only items we don't uplift are asbestos, animal waste, human waste,no nappies,no poo bags,no chemicals that aren't labelled and bitumen corrugated roofing sheets.
I've probably forgotten lots of other details, but just thought I'd cover a few details.
