Last week we dismantled a lime tree due to concerns over its stability in recent storms and proximity to phone and power lines to the property.
Timber was logged up and site left immaculate for the customer. 🌳🪵

We’ve also been making good use of the new arb van which we added to the fleet this month, a very handy bit of kit. Needs a bit of a tidy up to fit in with the shiny machinery we like to run! 😎

This week was spent log splitting for several clients between Broughton and Biggar.

Thanks to Wm WM Rose & Sons Ltd for the use of their Corvus utv, a very handy bit of kit for moving logs around and towing the splitter and saws onto site. 🪵🪵

Some emergency tree works carried out in December and completed last week.
During a storm several Spruce trees were blown over and the root plates lifted the clients oil tank causing it to empty entirely.
We came immediately to make the fallen trees safe and get the root plates back down.

At the request of an oil spill specialist we returned to dismantle further trees as they believed the oil had seeped under their roots and would affect them in future.

Our clients were very grateful for our swift and efficient service.

We wish all our clients a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Thank you for your business this year, and most importantly thank you for the cups of tea, coffee, biscuits and even the odd bacon roll!

The team are really appreciative and have enjoyed another year of varied and challenging tree work.

We have a few jobs to complete between Christmas and new year and then a short break until the 5th of January when we will get the trucks and saws warmed up again ready to go!🪵🎄

Straight into storm tidy up work after 3 days working up at Guardbridge.
We don’t let storm work get in the way of our scheduled works, but we try to fit in emergency calls when we can (early morning, late night, weekends 😴)

An enjoyable couple of days working in a beautiful hillside woodland garden, above Broughton. 🐿️

We were selectively removing several trees, opening up space to allow others to grow and for understory shrubs to flourish. 🍁

This woodland has been planted and maintained by the owners for many years, some trees are now reaching 30 years old. 🌲

A notable example is an English Oak, grown from an acorn collected in Wiltshire! 🌳

All woodchip was broadcast to break down and return goodness to the soil, all timber will be used for firewood. 🍃

We even carved a small seat, Tom the gnome modelling it fishing for dinner 🎣

If you are looking for professional tree surgery then we have some limited availability for work to be completed before the new year.

The team are fully qualified and have a lot of experience with all aspects of arboricultural work.

We have appropriate insurance and we use modern machines and equipment to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Going into winter and ‘storm season’ it is always better to be doing preventative work rather than reactive work!

Last week several members of the team were working alongside Merlin Tree Services tackling some very large Poplar trees in Glasgow.

Not often we work on trees this scale and really amazing to see the climbing involved.

Lots of rigging and use of machines to help us maximise efficiency and have the work completed in two days.
