First job back after a month off!Bungalow refurb.
A few cracks to sort out around the bungalow, then 2 coats of Johnstone’s Stormshield in brilliant white. Came up a treat 😀

I do like to do a bit of wallpapering now and again. 😀Two bathrooms prepped and then papered.

Last job of 2025 and another fab year and 2026 already busy busy busy..

New kitchen/ diner to sort out. New plaster work everywhere so a quick mist coat and then ceilings had 2 coats of Johnstone’s white coverplus emulsion. Then walls had 2 coats of Dulux trade diamond matt in Niagara Blues 1 ( a real beauty of a colour). Then woodwork undercoated before a top coat of white satinwood.
A really pleasing job to finish the year on.

Busy 2 weeks transforming an L shaped lounge dining room. Ceiling and walls had wallpaper to be removed and numerous holes and d***s to be made good.
Fortunately the ceiling wallpaper came off well and no major repairs needed. Just a little one where a small leak had come from above.
Walls and ceiling sanding down with my new Einhell UK drywall sander. Then sealed with Gardz, before a mist coat applied over both areas.
A bit more filling and sanding then 2 coats of Farrow & Ball modern emulsion in string. A bit of fillling on the doors and woodwork. Then undercoated before finishing in Johnstone’s white aqua guard satinwood.

Nice tidy up of the front of a mid terraced in Broadstairs. A few damp issues low down and a couple of repairs on the guttering. Then window cils and fascia and soffit scrapped back to leave clean surfaces for painting. Cils bottom band and fascia and soffit undercoated before finishing with two coats of black gloss. Walls had to coats of Johnstone’s storm shield in Everglades mist.

Nice job tidying up the fascia and soffits on this semi detached close to home. All loose flaky paint stripped off and then sanded down, before a primer/ undercoat applied, then undercoated and finished with two top coats in black gloss.

Also dealt with the window cils, gutters and down pipes. Side door and front gates also had the same treatment.

Working early and in the shade to give the paint a chance in the hot weather 🌞.

On to the next one in April and 3 weeks transforming a Kitchen, hall, stairs and landing and the lounge.

Kitchen had a couple of large cracking in the ceiling so these were dug out, scrim taped and made good. Walls also had a few cracks so these were also made good and then onto the painting.
Ceiling had 2 coats of Johnstone's Paints white coverplus and the walls were finished in Johnstone’s durable matt in Cumulus.
Woodwork rubbed down, undercoated and finished in white gloss.

Hall, stairs and landing area. A few cracks around the walls, then 2 coats of Johnstone's Trade Paints durable Matt in Spin Yam.
Woodwork- skirting boards, architraves, stairs and loft hatch rubbed down, undercoated and finished in white gloss.

Lounge had a few d***s in the walls. These were made good then 2 coats of Johnstone’s durable Matt in Mercury. Woodwork- skirting boards, architrave and window cil rubbed down, undercoated and a finished in white gloss. Radiator also freshened up and finished in white gloss.

Mid March and onto a lounge and kitchen make over.
Lounge had a fresh coat of Johnstones white coverplus on the ceiling and walls, then a feature wall around the chimney breast in Johnstone's Paints voice of colour Gotta have it.

Kitchen was a nice challenge as client requested a change to the kitchen cabinet doors and we agreed on a 2 colour change from white to red and grey to match the walls and tiles. Used my scanner to get the red to match the walls and grey to match the tiles and they came out pretty good.

Getting the outside garden furniture ready for another year. Teak table and chairs rubbed down and then 2 coats of semco teak sealer applied.

Busy end to the year but thought I’d share a few jobs that have taken place in October and November.
October first.. transformed this bathroom with a fresh coat of Johnstone’s white coverplus on the ceiling. Then this stunning wallpaper was hung, finishing with nice satinwood on the door and skirtingboards,
