Something I see all the time when renovating your home or just doing maintenance only a fraction of the budget is for the painting.

But with out a skilled painter to finish the work you’ve had done you shouldn’t of bothered as you can have the best plastered walls an ceiling the best joinery but if your painting isn’t up to scratch it will look awful .

I’ve spent the last 23 years fixing poor painting one house at a time so if your decorator gives you a estimate on the back of a betting slip that’s to good to be true it’s 100% going to be .

Like all my tools it’s a German 🇩🇪 brand seems like everything is made better there .

Shoulder Work out day two 💪 on my Raby Mere Project.

Second day sanding a large lounge an orangery ceiling first sanded with p80 and filled yesterday second sanding today with p240 .

Removing years of heavy roller marks , brush lines and bits that have been in the paint .

My shoulders wish all Wirral decorators would stop using masonry rollers for emulsion, sweeping brushes as paint brushes and please strain your paint Thank You 😂

Ceilings day today on my current project with uneven ceilings that are full of imperfections you have to put the preparation in .

Also lighting plays a big part in the overall finish with these light casting all the light in one area then shadows your prep has to be spot on and using the right emulsion is a must in this situation a anti reflex emulsion was used giving us a completely flat finish that made my client say wow 😮 .

Makes two days of prep all worth it wait till she sees the finished result 👌🏼

New job started today in Higher Bebington.

Lounge , dining area, snug and kitchen then staircase to follow.

First day always is just sanding every surface removing heavy roller marks and all the bits in the under prepared woodwork ready for first filling tomorrow 👌🏼

Fine finish decorating is all in the prep 👊🏼
