TRAINING WORKSHOP

Last month, our teams completed an intensive training workshop focused on operational excellence and safety standards. Led by Harry Dutton and Sean Donohue, the programme combined classroom learning with practical hands-on sessions.
Our staff mastered essential skills including equipment safety, teamwork protocols, and our new LAMP methodology for machinery operation. We're particularly proud that every team member received personalised assessment and guidance, ensuring they're fully equipped to deliver the high-quality service our clients expect.

Ending the week on a high, we are absolutely delighted to announce the promotion of Chris Donaldson to Senior Team Leader! A good way to start the new year from BMet's Adult Skills team!

Please find below a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a career in the Horticulture sector that begins with a dedicated training programme at our our Study Centre, on-site at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

The Horticulture course will begin on Monday 22 January 2024 and will take place over a 5 week period, 2 days per week (Monday & Wednesday). Containing accredited qualifications and bespoke training in a vibrant environment, it will be sure to enthuse anyone with a passion for the outdoors!

And best of all, one of the College's long term partners in the apprenticeship arena, Bennett Landscapes Matt Bennett will be interviewing all successful candidates for Horticulture Operative roles that will begin as soon as March 2024!
