The super structure for this replacement dwelling in Thornaby is almost complete, just waiting for the windows and the block to be rendered. The dwelling is to be an energy efficient, 3-bedroom dwelling with a double height - large open plan kitchen/living/dining area to the rear, constructed in SIPs panels for the walls & roof. It will be heated and cooled via MVHR system combined with an ASHP. PV slates have been installed to the roof.

Windows are being installed for this large detached, 4 bedroom property in Barnard Castle just off Green Lane, following planning permission that was obtained by Box Architectural Services Ltd. The property uses natural stone and slate for the walls and roof - reflecting the character of the surrounding area, but the large glazed areas and mezzanine level give it a modern twist that overlook the large curtilage area.

Following building regulations being obtained by BoxAS Ltd, work has commenced on this existing building that re configures the internal layout to create two apartments over three storey's. The ground floor apartment will be a single bedroom with a good size living and double bedroom and the second apartment having three bedroom with a good size living, kitchen and double bedroom with a dressing area and two ample sized single bedrooms. A great way to end the year, after the client had been refused planning permission, and the appeal dismissed when using another agent, the client approached Box Architectural Services Ltd to make another planning submission. The project is for four new build dwelling houses, made up of 2 house types that have a mix of 3 and four bedrooms in the Washington area. The improvements to the refused scheme and additional information provided by BoxAS Ltd have been considered acceptable by the LPA and approval has been granted.

Work is now finished for this new build dwelling in the County Durham area. The dwelling replaces an existing outbuilding using the same footprint to create a 3 bedroom property with open plan living space to the ground floor. The glazed elements ensure that the surrounding countryside is acknowledged and is a main feature of the property

Following Box Architectural Services Ltd securing planning & building regulation approvals, here are some internal shots for a two storey side extension with the layout to the existing house being reconfigured. The project is based in Hunwick, and provides an open plan kitchen/dining area to the ground floor and a large master bedroom with ensuite and dressing area to the 1st floor. The render was preferred for the extension instead of trying to match a brick that was discontinued some time ago

This small side extension allowed the internal layout to be reconfigured to this existing bungalow, located in Barnard Castle, County Durham. The client had a tight budget and the site boundaries were also tight and both were considered when designing the alterations. The extension created a large open plan living/dining/kitchen to the rear and larger bedrooms to the front - essentially flipping the layout and positioning part of the kitchen & bathroom in the extension and altering the position of the front door.

Building regulations are underway following alterations to the original planning approval via a non-material amendment to allow this new build dwelling to be constructed in SIPs panels instead of upcycling shipping containers as originally proposed. The dwelling will use an ASHP, UFH to be highly energy efficient. The building is located in Sunderland

The extension is now fully weatherproof and the internal reconfiguration is well underway at this property located on Bishop Auckland, that BoxAS Ltd obtained planning and building regulations - creating a large open plan kitchen/ dining/ living space a family room and playroom to the ground floor. Whilst the first floor is now much more usable and a master bedroom, with an ensuite and dressing area being created together with a larger family bathroom. Externally, the client wanted it to match the existing in appearance. The image to the bottom right shows the property before the extension was added.
