A bit of sunshine makes all the difference ☀️

Thanks to the good weather this week we’ve managed to get the front garden fully turfed on this project and it’s amazing how quickly it transforms the whole frontage of the property.

Fresh lawn with crisp stripes using quality turf from really brings the entrance together and finishes the space beautifully.

This has been a fantastic project to be part of and we’re now nearly at the finish line with just a few final details left before completion.

Great working alongside and managed by on this one.

Not the finished photos just yet… but we’re nearly there and couldn’t resist sharing a progress shot, one we’re certainly proud of. 🌿

We started this project back in November 2024 for and it’s been an exciting one to be involved with from the very beginning. Working alongside on the groundworks stage, and installing new boundary fencing supplied by , this scheme has seen a full transformation take shape over the past year.

With over 500sqm of paving installed and more than 400sqm of turf now down from , planting from and , not all visible in this picture. It’s great to finally see the rear garden coming together. The new lawn has just had its first cut with one of our and is now ready for to take it to the next level with lawn maintenance.

Take a look at one of our regularly maintained gardens in Bishop’s Stortford…

Winter doesn’t have to mean a garden that disappears.

With the right framework planting and ongoing seasonal care, even at this time of year a garden can still feel architectural, balanced and calm 🌿

Over the winter months we focus on:
• Maintaining clean evergreen structure
• Selectively reducing ornamental grasses
• Specialist climber work (including trained wisteria)
• Refining hedging and topiary
• Keeping sight lines, levels and planting beds sharp

It’s this regular attention that keeps gardens across Bishop’s Stortford looking their best — even before the spring colour arrives

Winter pruning season — where structure is made.

A few recent jobs from the past couple of weeks and more to follow soon:

• Mature wisteria framework reductions
• Specialist cordon pruning on established fruit trees
• Pergola-trained climbers reshaped and balanced

Winter is when real craftsmanship shows. With the leaves gone, you can see the architecture — and that’s where precision matters.

Cordon fruit trees require disciplined spur management to maintain productivity and form. Mature wisteria demands confident structural reduction without compromising next season’s flowering. It’s not a quick trim — it’s considered, technical pruning.

And yes… using our .hq pruning secateurs makes it light work ✂️ Clean cuts, better healing, sharper results.

Levels, string lines, spacers, clips, constant checking… and a lot of kneeling 😅

Every slab set, aligned and adjusted so the finished result looks clean, sharp and built to last. It’s the bits most people never see that make all the difference.

Commercial grounds maintenance at Wickham Hall Commercial Estate, Bishop’s Stortford.

We’ve been maintaining this lovely commercial site since August and it’s one we’re genuinely proud to look after. It’s a well-designed space with plenty of green areas, and with regular care it really comes into its own throughout the year.

From keeping things tidy and presentable to the seasonal details that make a difference, it’s a site we enjoy working on and take real pride in maintaining.

Such a lovely place to work 🌿

This week we’ve been back on site in Forest Gate, planting up this project following the completion of the construction works late last year. It’s always a great moment seeing a space move from clean, architectural lines into something softer and more seasonal.

The pathways and terraces were finished using light grey porcelain paving from , which gives the garden its calm, contemporary backbone, while the boundaries are framed with fencing supplied by for longevity and structure. The timber archway, built using materials from , adds warmth and a focal point as you move through the garden.

All aggregates and soil were sourced via , and the planting — supplied by has been designed in a -inspired style, focusing on texture, form and seasonal change. Finished off with composted bark fine mulch from

It’s looking understated now, but this is one we’re really looking forward to seeing burst into colour come spring 🌱
