One of the utility teams was working alongside the lines team on an LV (Low Voltage) line to achieve and maintain a safe clearance from the overhead power lines. ⚡️

Due to adverse weather conditions, specifically the presence of thunder and lightning in the vicinity, operations were suspended and the team was stood down on multiple occasions throughout the day. Work only resumed when conditions were assessed as safe in accordance with site safety procedures and weather-related risk controls. ⛈️

Rather than letting the material go to waste, the woodchip will be repurposed for the clients chicken coop, while the timber will be transformed into a forest school space for the grandchildren- giving the trees a meaningful second life. 🌳

To ensure the work was carried out safely and efficiently, we arranged the necessary permits and two-way traffic management, allowing the team to operate within a secure working area.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, let’s remember that mental health matters every day, not just when things feel heavy, but also in the quiet moments.

Checking in on yourself is important. Checking in on others can make a bigger difference than you realise.

A simple “How are you, really?” can open a door. Taking a break, asking for support, setting boundaries, or speaking kindly to yourself are all signs of strength, not weakness.

Let’s continue to create spaces where people feel safe to talk, supported to heal, and reminded they are never alone. 💚
