It’s been a while since my last post. Not because we haven’t been busy. Quite the opposite in fact.
Here’s a recent job completion of a huge lounge plus a hallway, stairs & landing on a detached property in Mellor.
Lounge - Full strip, major preparation to all substrates, line walls, apply paint coatings, hang wall coverings.
HSL - Full strip ceilings and walls, wash down all substrates, major preparations to substrates to be painted and papered, apply Zinsser Gardz primer sealer to ceilings and walls, hang WallRock lining to ceilings and walls, apply acrylic Matt emulsion paint to ceilings and walls, apply acrylic eggshell to all woodwork.

Another job completed in Osbaldeston on this lovely summer house.
All timbers prepared and 3 full coats of Protek Royal Exterior Superior Wood Finish in Golden Oak applied by brush.
First time using this product and the finish and application was spot on. Customer extremely happy!

Final touches and clean up completed this morning before my customer arrives home from Australia tomorrow morning 😅.
Kitchen, lounge/diner, hallway stairs landing, master bedroom.
Full preparation to all rooms, ceilings to lounge/diner, hallway, landing, master bedroom, walls to lounge, finished with WallRock fibreliner due to movement and persistent cracking. Lounge/diner, kitchen, hallway & landing ceilings finished in Tikkurila Anti Reflex Matt White. Master bedroom ceiling Johnstones Cover Plus Vinyl Matt White. Lounge/diner, kitchen & master bedroom walls McPhersons Acrylic Durable Matt Colours. Hallway stairs & landing walls Crown Clean Extreme Matt Colours. All woodwork Dulux Diamond Eggshell Brilliant White.
Water based satin varnish to staircase timbers.
Not a piece of furniture left out of place.
Everything as it was.
Vacuumed and polished.

I think it’s time I wished everyone a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year for 2023.
2022 was an eventful year and for the first time since I can remember my chosen weekends were my own through not overstretching ourselves with the demands of customers. They had to wait!
This had no impact on completion dates or the smooth running of projects.
There will be 2 birthday celebrations this year with Abbey Decors 40th and my 60th.
Where have the years gone?
