WHAT IS LOCK SNAPPING?

WELL I'LL TELL YOU👍

Burglars/Intruders often gain entry into our homes using the lock snapping technique. They will simply snap the lock and then use a bent screwdriver or something similar to open your door.

If you don't have an Anti-Snap lock fitted or you have an ill fitting Euro cylinder like the one pictured below, your door will be a burglars dream unfortunately.

Many insurance companies are now asking if you have Anti-Snap locks in your policy questionnaires and many of you are just ticking the yes box because you don't understand the difference and it can give the insurance companies a way out and they can dismiss any claim you may have.

Please take a minute to look at the cylinder in your door, if it appears old then it's probably not Anti-Snap and if it is not flush with your handle, just like the picture below, then it's vulnerable to attack.
