Vintage Bus Cab Light Restoration 🚌💡
A gentleman visited our shop recently with a specific challenge: to replicate a missing glass dome for a vintage bus cab light.

With the original dome long gone, all we had to work from was the original metal base it needed to fit into.

Here is how we solved it:

CAD Design: Took precise measurements of the base to digitally reconstruct the dome's original profile and dimensions.

Prototyping: 3D printed an initial test model to verify the fitment and alignment against the original housing.

Final Production: Once the prototype fit perfectly, the final replacement dome was 3D printed using a high-clarity, UV-resistant transparent PETG filament.

The result is a durable, accurate replacement that restores the fixture to functional condition.

Do you have a rare, obsolete, or broken component that needs replicating? Bring it by the shop or send us a message to see how we can help.

From Neglected Pot to Window Shop Showstopper! 🪵✨**

When this piece first arrived, it was in a sorry state: pale, grubby, riddled with woodworm, and functional only as a basic holder for dried flowers.

Following a rigorous restoration process—including thorough woodworm treatment, deep staining, and varnishing—I crafted a custom internal liner and converted the entire structure into a fully functioning lamp.

The transformation speaks for itself. I placed it in the shop window, and it sold in less than ten minutes!

Another little job brought into our shop on Blackwood's High Street.
The angel was shattered and off her stand. There was quite a few missing pieces making it challenging to be able to re-affix. The solution was to create a mould and "pot" the top with crystal clear resin to make up the missing glass and hold the angel in place. I added slightly more than needed to account for some minor cracks in the glass.
