What a time of year for colour in the garden, autumn is such a contrasting season, with the colder shorter days yet so much colour on the trees leaves.

Here I have loaded the beds up with compost made over the last year and a fresh layer of wood chippings , to suppress the w**ds and keep the moisture in the ground, creating the perfect environment for feeding the plants over the winter ready for the next year!

Another job done, these walls and eagle statue were covered completely in thick ivy, after having uncovered the statue, the brickwork was loose, so I came in with cement and sand and mixed up a load of mortar to fix it all back in place
