Last year this lawn was left to grow wild as an experiment to see how many types of grass and wild flowers would appear. The grass was then cut at the end of the season.
This year the existing bluebells have doubled in number and a few white bluebells have popped up as well.
These white ones have never appeared before. Why not leave a corner of your lawn to do it’s own thing and see what Mother Nature will surprise you with 🌼🌼🌼

What better way to spend a sunny afternoon. Turning an old rockery into a strawberry and borage patch. Eco and pocket friendly gardening at its finest. The strawberries are runners from last years plants and the borage are self seeded from last year too. We have reused the gravel so pesky slugs and snails will be deterred without having to use chemicals. Perfect companion planting and the bees just love borage...and it makes a great cocktail too 🍸

Anybody lucky enough to have this little beauty in your garden? Wild Garlic or Ramsons. Loves a shady, damp area but can get pretty rampant. Luckily it does well in pots. Loved by bees and wild boars (!) but even more so by a Waitrose customer. Save your money and get picking. Wild garlic butter, salt, pesto or as a garlicky alternative to spinach. If any customer would like a little pot just give me a shout

Lovely afternoon creating a bee friendly border in a customer’s garden. Planted up with Hellebore and Foxglove. Hellebore are fantastic in a shady spot, are evergreen and perennial and give our bee friends one of the first blooms of the year. Remember, both Foxglove and Hellebores can be toxic so keep out of reach from little fingers and little paws 🐾

It's a great time of year to start thinking about creating a pond. A pond is the single best way of attracting wildlife! Even a tiny container pond can attract a whole host of wonderful wildlife. 🐸💦
