LOOK 👀 at this stunning media wall!

Here, Dean built the media wall including electrics, plasterboarding and fitting new skirting boards. He also installed the light fittings, switches and sockets 🔨✨

Phase 2: our client used their own plasterer - your home, your choice!

Phase 3: the finishing touches, including prep and paint, were completed by our very talented client 🎨

And how stunning is that colour?! I already asked for the name because I’m planning to use it in our house too 😆

A lovely job complete recently ☺️

Dean and Lewis have recently finished a full new reroof locally for one of our long term customers - someone who first called us out for smaller Handyman jobs over the years, and has continued trusting us with bigger and bigger projects since.

It’s always a good feeling when customers come back time again and recommend us to others too. We genuinely appreciate every bit of support for our family business ❤️

Massive well done to Lewis as well - learning his trade properly and smashing it alongside his dad 👏🏼

Dean is also the coach for Oscar’s Under 9’s team - who won a fantastic battle this morning! 💪

The football carries on this afternoon with a charity match Manager vs Coach 👀 kicking off at 3pm at Dreams2Reality Stadium in Atherton for a brilliant cause.

We’d love to see some support down there if you can make it! 🙌

Dean can certainly talk football and tell our boys what to do… but can he actually play?! 😂🔥

I wasn’t sure whether to post here, but today is World Kidney Day 💚 which is a big day in our house.

Oscar was diagnosed almost 7 years ago with Nephrotic Syndrome, around the same time we started the Handyman business. It’s been a journey with many ups and downs, but we’re so grateful for the support we’ve had along the way.

Oscar completed his steroids at the end of February, and after his infusion in mid February we thankfully received the news that he is back in remission. To help build his strength back up, Oscar and Fallon have decided to take part in the March Marathon, raising money for NeST (Nephrotic Syndrome Trust) the charity that has stood by us through everything over the years.

If anyone is able to donate even a little spare change, it would mean the world to them… and to us too. 💚

Just a quick update from us. Oscar’s, our youngest boy, had a recent relapse and is currently under the care of the wonderful team at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He’s being incredibly brave, and we’re taking things day by day while he waits for his next Rituximab Infusion.

If you’re waiting on quotes or replies take a little longer, I’m sorry for any delays - admin may be a little slower while family comes first. The work on site is still moving as normal though, and here are some recent jobs Dean has completed.

Day 12 | 12 Days of Christmas 🎄

We made it! Thank you so much for following along - I’ve loved resharing these posts. Please message with any enquiries ☺️

Dean also undertakes certified damp proofing, rewires and reroofs, and is always happy to offer advice - even before you get your keys! Renovating can be exhausting but so worth it, and his experience can really help.

This year we’re focusing on slowing down after a tough few years. Watching Dean power through everything he’s faced has made me prouder than ever.

Day 11 | 12 Days of Christmas 🎄

Shared Spaces & Service Charges

Do you pay a service charge alongside your rent or mortgage?
This fee is meant to cover a range of services for the shared areas of your property, including maintenance, repairs and sometimes improvements to:
• The exterior and structure
• Roofs and foundations
• Window frames and guttering
• Communal drains and pipework
• Common areas
• Building insurance
• Management costs

But the real question is… are you happy with the service you’re getting?

If you don’t feel your money is being spent wisely, or work isn’t being carried out properly, you can push for change.

I spoke with Linda & Dave years ago whose management company wasn’t using the tenants’ joint funds effectively. Jobs weren’t being completed properly, yet charges continued every month. Dean stepped in, carried out the work they actually needed, and was paid by their management company in Birmingham while they searched for a reliable local firm.

We haven’t looked back since.

From something as small as a new lock, to a bin store roof, guttering or lighting issues - Dean is there, and everyone’s happy 😊
