I’m currently working in the HORWICH/BROMLEY CROSS/EGERTON/SMITHILLS area. I’m available for one-off jobs or regular garden maintenance. I can charge per hour for general garden maintenance, or can quote individually for specific jobs and/or wildlife gardening advice/custom-built products. I can do the following:
• Mowing/Lawn maintenance
• Hedge trimming
• Chainsaw licence to fell small trees a
nd remove limbs
• Strimming
• Transplanting and planting
• Wildlife gardening expertise (see more info below)
• Weeding and mulching
• Composting advice
• Fence painting
I also make the following out of reclaimed timber: compost bins/bat boxes/bird boxes/bee hotel/wellie hotel/trainer boxes (see photos) and can custom-build if you have any particular requests. WILDLIFE GARDENING
Having spent the last 13 years as a Field Ecologist, I specialise in British wildlife and would be able to assist you in attracting more wildlife to your garden. In addition to the more well-quoted reasons as to why it is a good thing to encourage wildlife to our gardens – such as helping out our declining species like native bees and newts, free pest control, and enabling pollinating insects to give us bigger veggie crops – our gardens can offer wildlife a safe refuge and an alternative home to the monocultures of the countryside that are a result of lost habitats. The combined area of all the gardens in the UK is similar to that of all the Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs); That’s a lot.
