Work like this is ideally done while plants are still in their dormant season and before 1st March when nesting season starts.

Got the below lovely review after completing this job. Customer appreciation really is one of the main things that keeps me doing what I do.

Customer has a lovely Crimson King Norway Maple that was in desperate need of a good deadwooding, thinning, reduction and general reshape (seen below in full bloom). We waited for the tree to shed its leaves and become dormant before carefully removing the maximum one third of the canopy to open up allowing light and airflow as well as making it more aesthetically pleasing.

I then moved onto a tidy up of the conifer hedge and ivy.

Small hedge job from last week. Customer was happy with the final results and the quick tidy up of the artificial lawn I threw on top…even got myself a lovely Xmas card 🥰

Another conifer removal and another happy customer.

Customer was desperate to get this out and allow more light into her living room. I was happy to help.

Conifers can very quickly outgrow the spaces they are planted in however there are ways to manage the rate of growth so I’ll be adding a post in the coming days with advice and guidance on how to keep these keen to take over conifers under control.

Another hedge…another happy customer 😁

A much needed reduction to clear the path but also to take off some weight as sections of the hedge have collapsed in the past during heavy snowfall.

As the reduction was quite considerable it does look quite bare however fresh, healthy growth will fill in those patches in no time ready for future maintenance.
