There's a festival of roses taking place in Devon, celebrating all things roses.

So I thought why not show off some roses in a garden I started to maintain last year.

Very old specimens, having not been pruned for quite some time.

Having a very hard prune to the bare bones at the end of the year. They are not giving out the most amazing displays.

This time its the Garden Guys!

A recently installed patio led to some burnt off and well worn areas, and some patching up.

Plenty of aeration. Over seeding and dressing. And the recovery is well on its way.

Little update of what's growing and going well;
The wall of scent - sweet peas I plant every year from the seed pods produced have come out amazingly this time.
Hydrangeas - all along the path the hydrangeas are now starting to come into full flower ๐ŸŒธ
A cutting of a hydrangea I took last year or so, has fully come to life.
The vedge is well on its way. Making use of the smallest bit of the garden growing peas and cucumbers up a makeshift trellis, onions, garlic, chillis and tomatoes too. Always a good turnout and super easy to grow.

Hedges, lawns, paths and borders. All tidy for the weekend.

A rough week. Mixed weather, and hard graft. Friday ๐Ÿ‘

A little lawn, a lot of thatch.

Starting the process to try bring life back to this front lawn.

With repairs to the rear after a recent mole decided it would be a good idea to dig it up.

Starting the week with hedges.

Hedge cuts in Tadcaster, Clifford and Collingham.

What wild weather we've had. Glorious sunshine all week. To a thunderstorm with large hailstones. Work still gets done.

Thursday and Fridays jobs involved grass cutting. Shaping up shrubs and trees. Border work and a hedge cut.
