There is little worse in forestry in my opinion than using wire for attaching stakes and guards to a tree.
They cut into the tree reducing the value of the timber, they damage the tree and they damage equipment.

Been a wet and windy one today!
Chris Horne Arborist & Fenland Firewood made a very good job of this oak reduction and spruce dismantle in less than ideal conditions.
The oak was a victim of the recent winds and had lost a large section of its main leader. We removed the stuff from above the tear the shaped the rest of the tree in to suit.

Stump grinder training. These were the teeth on the machine and they had no spares!
If you keep the teeth on your grinder sharp your productivity remains high, the wear and tear on the rest of the machine is reduced and therefore additional maintenance costs are reduced.
There is a mentality when it comes to stump grinding that you just keep going no matter the condition of the teeth as "it'll hammer on through, just take a bit longer". But this drastically increases your running costs!
If you change out teeth on site as they dull (before they are damaged or rounded) they then only require a light sharpening meaning you are removing less of the tooth, if you take them till they are rounded right over you can nearly lose half a tooth in one sharpening.

Pic 1 of the heavily worn teeth pic 2 is how they should look.
