Yesterday’s job was a little different from the usual… we swapped trimming and tidying for some tree planting 🌳

A month ago, a client mentioned wanting a bit more privacy — and just like that, the lightbulb moment between us hit 💡 A plan came together, and now… here’s the result 👀

Safe to say, it’s looking tree-mendous (I know… I know… I’ll see myself out 😅)

Good morning from Year Round Gardeners 🌿

First things first—apologies for the recent radio silence. Partly due to my ongoing battle with modern technology (still not convinced it’s on my side), but mostly because I’ve been out “grafting” and keeping busy doing what I do best.

I’ve finally managed to come up for air and put together a small collage of some recent work—and I’m pleased to say things have been busier than ever. A big welcome to all my new customers… the list just keeps growing 👏

So, what have I been up to?

• Jet washing everything in sight 💦
• Tree and hedge trimming—like a barber with a fresh set of clippers (and yes, I’ve treated myself to a new trimmer) 💈
• Rotavating… almost with my bare hands at this point 💪🏽
• Weeding like I’ve just uncovered a lost civilisation 🏛️
• Mowing lawns with military precision (and a mower I’m probably too proud of) 🪖
• Cutting in flowerbeds like I’m sculpting a masterpiece 🗿
• And digging out wild garlic like a truffle-hunting dog on a mission 🐕

In all seriousness—I genuinely love it. There’s something about being outdoors, transforming a space, and leaving it looking sharp that never gets old.

With the warmer weather rolling in, longer evenings, and BBQ season creeping up, now’s the perfect time to get your garden looking its best.

Good morning garden fans far and wide! 🌿☀️
A gentle reminder… w**d now, relax later. Sorry about that! 🤣
This week has been a busy one and I’m pleased to announce a new member of the team… a (second-hand) mower! And let me tell you — it cuts beautifully. The stripes it leaves behind are a sight to behold. Proper lawn envy material.
So what have we been up to?
✂️ Pruning and trimming trees�🌳 Uprooting and carefully replanting a couple of acers�🌱 Weeding like it’s going out of fashion�🧗 Removing a winter jasmine that had climbed a drainpipe like it was attempting a world record
And the highlight… giving a lawn its first cut of the season with the new mower. Safe to say it looked absolutely divine afterwards!
Right, back to work I go — let’s see what the rest of the week has in store.

Cut back and shaped so passers-by can stroll past without feeling like they’re starring in their own horror film.

Gently untangled and guided back onto their trellis supports — ready to climb, bloom and steal the show.

🏡 Market-ready magic
Gardens given that all-important spruce up before hitting the property market — because first impressions start at the front gate.

🌳 Young trees rehomed
Replanted with care to give them the best chance to thrive and grow strong.

💈 Front gardens freshened up
A tidy “haircut” to keep everything looking sharp and welcoming.

🌱 Top tip of the day:
Right now is prime time for w**ding. The soil is still soft, which means w**ds come up roots and all — much easier than battling them later in spring.

Today really felt like spring was on its way 🌸

Mild air, birds singing… and me, knee-deep in a muddy garden, happy as a pig in 💩 👨🏽‍🌾

Some careful, almost surgical w**d removal went down today — making sure all the good stuff stayed safe and sound:
🌼 Cornflowers
🌼 Daffodils
🌼 Alliums
🌼 Lupins
🌼 Bluebells
🌼 Forget-me-nots
🌼 Foxgloves
🌼 Delphiniums
🌼 Hollyhocks
(Yes — every single one is in the photos!)

Now’s the perfect time to get this kind of work done, giving plants the best possible start for spring.

Right then garden lovers………I’m so excited for spring, I wet my plants!!!! 😂😂😂

This is the time to get your pruning, trimming, planting, jet washing and w**ding done in good time for the new season!
