There may be a few more weeks of winter, but members of Bothwell Community Garden met today to prepare for the new season. They removed loads of old lumber left after several of our raised beds were replaced over the winter. There was much tea/coffee drunk and biscuits eaten as folks had a good blether, catching up with each other after a long cold winter, and discussing what they are planning to plant this spring. Yesterday was Potato Day in the garden when folks purchased seed potatoes, onion sets, and garlic to plant, along with other sundries that will enrich the soil for new growing season. Hurray for spring 2026.
