Absolutely love the colour of the feature walls, the bathroom and cloakroom now have the immaculate ceilings they deserve for the finishing touch.

what a project this was, an absolutely beautiful trio of colours!

all hand painted with Two Fussy Blokes rollers, for an immaculate finish, after sanding perfectly smooth with the Mirka UK Ltd dustless sanders.

All primed with the ultra reliable Haft from Caparol UK, all joints and imperfections filled with Toupret UK filler.

Ceiling and walls finished in a beautiful flat matt, dureable, premium emulsion from Isomat UK.

I've used Isomat for a few years, the best dureable emulsion on the market by a long way, just look at that finish 😍

The room is now ready for the new floor, skirting and architrave.

Day 4, we have a change of plan with the ceiling...

I originally sprayed the central arch back in December, prior to the sides being fitted, which is shown in these photos.

As you can see it was a low sheen finish, with a nice subtle shine, today it was decided the entire ceiling will now be dead flat matt, work will continue on Tuesday after the Easter break.

Day 3, after giving everything a second coat of primer, it's time for a final fill.

The primer highlights all imperfections, pin holes etc etc.

If it can be seen after primer, it will show after the final coats, so it has to go.

All filler will be sanded smooth, then re primed.

This is how you achieve the very best finish possible, with meticulous prep work.

Don't limit yourself to one or two sizes of roller, every size, even the smallest will have it's place.

Here's how it looks on day 2, got to be the smoothest room in the country right now 😂

Everything sanded to perfection, ready for it's second coat of primer and filling any remaining areas that need it.

The wall panels and most of the ceiling are made from MRmdf, (green mdf), a far superior product to ordinary brown mdf.

Requiring far less prep work to achieve a flawless finish, they also sand to a much smoother surface.

The client will fit skirting once the new floor has been laid.

The current work in progress, for a regular client.

The suspended ceiling and each wall panel were made and fitted by the client, then filled and primed to my spec, ready for me to take over.

A temporary floor is in place, just to protect the underfloor heating.

That's another job complete ✅️ the kitchen was finished on Friday, the utility today, walls still wet in the photo of the utility.

Time to enjoy a few days off, while I wait for the next one to be ready.

Something special is coming next week....would you ever consider painting an entire room with 2" and 6" rollers, including the ceiling......

Stay tuned.

So.....what a day 🤷 the dining room was completed yesterday as planned.

The kitchen and utility, ceilings are finished, not shown in the photo, woodwork finished to what I call an essential point, which allows me to paint the walls tomorrow, then also finish off the remainder.

Completion was a definite for tomorrow, until....

I got something in my eye on Tuesday, this morning I could barely see out of it. A trip to Stamford minor injuries found a big scratch on my iris, so that put a spanner in the works.

Though, I think florescent Orange suits me 😂

Completion tomorrow is still a possibility, we will see...
