King Charles III and Queen Camilla visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023 today, Monday 22nd May.

This year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show features 12 show gardens and more than 70 nurseries in the Great Pavilion, this year includes the Garden of Unity featuring Islam's five pillars.

Designed by Tom Massey Studio, the garden provides take-home ideas to make your garden more resilient to the effects of climate change, from drought and flooding, to the loss of biodiversity and habitat.

The front of the garden will demonstrate drought resilience, heat reduction, rainwater harvesting and air pollution reduction, while the rear garden will cover sustainable water management, habitat creation, nature connection and opportunities.

Spring is around the corner so what better way to celebrate than by getting out in the garden 🪴.

If you’ve not got a garden or looking for inspiration the National Garden Scheme provides a great opportunity for you to discover gardens near and far and enjoy the delights of what others have created. 🌿🪴☘️ You might even be able to bag yours a slice of cake 🍰 😀

If you have a wood burner or an open fire you’ll need a stock of firewood. You’ll know this needs to be dried before you can use it, and the best way to do that is outside in the open air.

To protect the wood from rain 🌧️ and to keep it dry, it’s a good idea to build a log store.

Here’s some of the design we have created, whilst also incorporating secondary storage space.

Have you heard of The National Garden Scheme?

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,600 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake.

Thought the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors they have donated over £60 million to nursing and health charities and made an annual donation of £2.88 million in 2020. Their core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
