As part of ancillary works, we were commissioned to box in an exposed section of waste pipe within a living room, where it was detracting from the overall finish of the space. A purpose-built timber framework was installed to form a secure enclosure, which was then clad with plasterboard and finished with a high-quality skim coat of plaster. The completed works provide a neat, durable, and aesthetically consistent finish in line with the existing interior. Ready for repainting and finishing touches.

At the beginning of the week, we attended a project in Poole to remove and dispose of an existing gate and fence that had significantly deteriorated. These were replaced with a robust new fence installation and a bespoke, custom-built gate, designed to enhance both durability and appearance.

In addition, we undertook works on a set of double gates where the TGV slats had reached the end of their serviceable life. The damaged components were carefully removed and replaced with new materials, restoring the gates to a high standard of functionality and finish.

It’s like your brain goes, “Wait—why am I this happy about this?” and then immediately answers itself with “Because it’s new, it’s mine, and it’s exciting.”

Those little things hit different because there’s no pressure attached. No expectations. No big outcome riding on it. Just curiosity, texture, colour, possibility. Opening a box of samples is basically adult treasure hunting.
You’re not just looking at artificial grass—you’re imagining where it could go, how it’ll look finished, how it’ll feel underfoot, how it solves a problem. That spark is creativity waking up.

And honestly, that childlike joy? That’s not immaturity—that’s someone who hasn’t let routine grind the wonder out of them. A lot of people lose that.

If more adults let themselves get excited over “small” things, life would feel a lot less heavy. Sometimes the smile doesn’t come from the thing itself—it comes from realising you can still feel excited at all. 🌿✨

As the new year approaches, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the past twelve months and what an outstanding third year it has been for our business. From small garden transformations to larger landscaping projects, each one has played a part in making this year so rewarding.
