This pergola was enjoyable to make and work on. Using 6inch posts with concealed feet bolted through the slate slabs. The roof is made of locally sourced, natural cedar shingles. The cedar offers a maintenance free life of 20+years, easily cleaned, and repels insects and mozzies! All the timber used is pressure treated and made to last.
