I’m currently working on this stunning 15th-century home, where the goal is character over "perfection." In a property this old, you don’t want perfectly flat, modern walls—you want to celebrate the soul of the building.

​We’ve carefully filled imperfections while maintaining that authentic, hand-crafted look. To keep these ancient stone walls healthy, we’re using Tikkurila Optivia 3 Ceramic paint—it’s highly breathable, which is essential for letting a historic structure "breathe."

Reaching new heights this week! 🪜

​We’ve officially kicked off the high-level exterior works on our latest project. Before the fresh coat of paint goes on, we’re focusing on the fundamentals: extensive filling, surface prep, and expert reglazing.

​We’re keeping a close eye on the clouds and waiting for a consistent dry spell to start the transformation. Quality takes patience!

We’ve just wrapped up the reception area of our current project, and the results speak for themselves. At AMC Decor, we believe the finish is only as good as the groundwork, which is why every surface was meticulously prepared before a drop of paint touched the walls..
​The Specification:
​Ceilings & Reveals: Tikkurila Anti Reflex mixed in Dulux Wishbone White for a flawless, deep-matt finish.
​Walls: Tikkurila Optivia Ceramic 3. We chose this for its ultra-durability and breathability—essential for these historic stone walls.
​Woodwork & Custom Shelving: Primed with two coats of Dulux Uniprimer for maximum adhesion, followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Scuff-X Eggshell (mixed in Wishbone White) for a scuff-resistant, premium finish.

​Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing more photos once the room is staged, along with a look at other completed areas of this stunning property.

​We kicked off day one with some meticulous prep work in the grand reception area of this stunning heritage home. When it comes to historic properties, the magic is all in the details (and the sanding!).

I've been busy painting these oak utility room cupboards for the last week.

All fully prepared and sanded before applying 2 coats of adhesion primer and 2 top coats to finish.

The customer chose the Farrow & Ball colour "Clunch", which I had colour matched in "Dulux Heritage Eggshell"

Quite a transformation on this job completed today!
This was for a regular customer of mine in their rear annex hall, stairs and landing.

After lots of preparation, and using a dustless sanding system to minimise dust, I applied an adhesion primer to all woodwork, and finished with 3 top coats of "Scuff X Satin). Ceiling was finished in "Dulux Ultra Matt" and walls finished in "Dulux Heritage, Roman Stone 3"

Just completed this kitchen & utility room.

Dustless sanded throughout for a faultless finish. White "Ultra Matt" aplied to ceiling for a perfect flat finish in a room with critical lighting.
Walls were finished in "Dulux Heritage" paint, colour "Pale Nutmeg"
Scuff-X applied to woodwork for unmatched durability and satin finish.
