First weekend off in a while… or so I thought 😅

Spent the weekend at home keeping the wife happy by ticking off the one of many jobs on the list by giving the front of the house a fresh new look. Laid some porcelain slabs, added a new gravel border, and finished it off with a new front door light installation 👷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes it’s nice working on your own place for a change — clean, modern, and definitely a big improvement to the kerb appeal 👌

Most importantly, Ted the dog has inspected the finished job and fully approves 🐶✅

All in a days work 👊

Customer wanted the door gone to make way for a new kitchen layout, so we carefully removed the door, kept the existing window, and bricked & blocked the opening back up to match in 👌

All tied in, neat and tidy, and ready for the new kitchen installation 🔥

Another tidy transformation almost completed over the weekend 🔨

Formed a new window opening and arch to get some much-needed light into the kitchen, and fitted a window to match the existing so it looks like it’s always been there 👌👷🏻‍♂️

Of course, nothing’s ever straightforward… ended up having to reroute the hot and cold feeds that run upstairs as they landed in the center of the new window opening💧 (because why wouldn’t it turn into a plumbing job too 🤦‍♂️) thanks to Darren the plumber and his rapid response it was sorted out shortly after the issue was found 👍🏻

All boarded out and made good inside, ready for plastering — I’ll be back tomorrow evening to get that finished off ready for the customer to paint and tile the splash back 👌

Clean lines, no shortcuts, and another happy customer on the way 👍

Today we completed the structural works on the rear of this property to open up the kitchen/dining area and create space for a brand new bifold door 👌

To ensure everything was carried out safely and correctly, the property was fully supported using acrow props while the existing structure was altered and to minimise disruption the job was completed in 2 days. efficient, organised, and delivered to the highest standard.

✅ Installed 2 steel beams to structural engineer’s specifications
✅ Safely removed load-bearing sections of wall
✅ Formed a new, wider opening ready for bifold doors
✅ All works completed with structural integrity as the top priority

This will completely transform the space, bringing in loads of natural light and creating that open-plan feel the customer was after ☀️

Another solid job completed and ready for the next stage 👷‍♂️

Another project completed this week 👷🏻‍♂️

This media wall was fully boarded and plastered to create a clean, modern focal point for the living room, complete with recessed shelving and a central space for the TV and media equipment 📺

As part of the preparation for the rest of the renovation, I also self-levelled the floor throughout the room to ensure it is perfectly flat and ready for the customer’s new oak flooring to be installed 🪵

A great transformation that will really come together once the flooring and final decoration are complete 👌🏻
