e wall' gas fire we service them all. We are Gas safe registered, and we cover both Natural Gas and LPG appliances. You are not locked into a contract; we provide a bespoke service to give you flexibility. Every year we get calls from people who turn off their gas appliance at the end of Winter only to find it doesn’t work when they go to use it the next season. It’s very frustrating and time-consuming calling around numerous Gas Engineers only to be told they don’t service gas fires, or you will have to wait weeks for an Engineer to visit. If you have your Gas Appliance serviced regularly, this will ensure that you are ready for the next season and you can have confidence that your gas fire will work on the 1st cold day, exactly when you need it to work. We service all year round and the lead time for an Engineer is significantly shorter in the warmer months, so this is the ideal time to tick the box and then relax knowing that the hour spent having a service has not been wasted and you are fully prepared for winter. Stoves also require service and maintenance. Generally, they don’t need servicing every year like a gas appliance, but every two years would be advisable. Consumables i.e., firebricks & seals should be checked at the end of each burning season and replaced if the bricks are degrading, or the rope seals have become so compressed they no longer provide the seal they should when the fire is burning. Remember there is a Carbon Monoxide risk with stoves as well as gas fires so it’s important to ensure your stove is working correctly and safely. The flue should be clear, no soot on the baffle and the chimney swept. We would advise all this is done after the last burn of the season, so you have peace of mind that your stove is ready and safe to use for the next season. All servicing is completed by qualified Engineers, either Gas Safe or HETAS.
