♻️ Do you have an item (or items) of furniture that could do with a little TLC but lack the confidence to tackle them?
Come along and join us at our next Upcycling Workshop - we’ll teach you all the skills you need in just one day! You can opt to do the morning session only or the full day ‘masterclass’!

During the morning session you’ll learn all of the basics, as well as some fun decorative techniques and you’ll go home full of confidence to tackle your own projects.

If you stay for the afternoon session - you get to bring in your own piece of furniture to work on and you’ll go home with a masterpiece!

Well I’m not sure whether it’s better to be early for 2026 or wish you all a belated but awesome 2025! 🙈😂
In my defence the whole period from December until today has been pretty crazy. Super busy at the shop (thank you lovely customers 🙏🏻) and also at home with the family.
I believe today is commonly known as ‘quitters day’ - the day when many people give up on their New Year resolutions - happily I am not one of them, simply because I didn’t find time to make any!!! 😁
We have, however, been planning lots of exciting new things for the shoppe that we’ll be sharing with you when the time is right (yes … before 2026 🙄)
In the meantime, belated HNY 2025 - may it bring us all everything we wish and strive for 🥂🥂🙏🏻

Have you ever noticed how Covid has altered our perception of time?
I’d have said (well ‘boasted’ really) that the fabulous Linford Christie visited us with The Antiques Road Trip ‘a couple of years back’. 🙈🙈🙈
Turns out it was SEVEN YEARS AGO.
Anyway - here’s a heads up for you. BBC1 - 3rd September - 3.45 … you may just see a shop-front that you recognise!!
Oh, and Linford - please come back soon! We’ve missed you! 💙

Loved this hand-painted sign we saw on a river walk during our hols in the French Alps! 🇫🇷 🏔️

With my O-Level French I was able to (roughly) translate it as …

“Here…
Take nothing other than photos
Leave nothing but your footprints
Kill nothing other than time”

Not bad considering it’s been half a century since my o-levels. 😂 Please feel free to correct me if I’ve got it wrong.
