Up in Leamington Spa last week to install a home cricket net. The full length mat and shockpad provide realistic bounce and carry, whilst the 36ft cage, custom doors and ball stop net at the back of the garden to minimise balls escaping into the neighbours!

Before and after. Loved converting this one from a rotting deck and dog-dug lawn with decades of ivy growth blocking light, to a bright spacious garden with patio, shed base and new lawn. Raj Green Sandstone with Aco channel drain and VDW850+ grout.

We absolutely loved the transformation in this one from Feb 2025: The garden required a complete overhaul, with it overgrown borders and failing patios, walls, fences and sheds. So it was out will the old and in with Raj Green Sandstone paving, setts and walling from Kebur Garden Materials, new closeboard and panel fencing, shed base, shed, and Proteus Pergola from London Stone.

The lawn was then levelled and laid to turf and beds prepared ready for planting.

With the large volume of concrete and brick on site (and the discovery of a very large old concrete cesspit) we employed a mini crusher from Tigerbite Mini Crushers to recycle on-site.

One from 2024: New block paving drive with tumbled kerb stones, closeboard fence and Green Beech hedge, to replace gravel drive and overgrown shrubs, creating a clean look with more space to turn cars and easy to manage.

Having removed the different levels of old patio, we were able to create a larger, single-level space for BBQing and entertaining using Raj Green porcelain and Anthracite Clay Pavers from Country Supplies. Lighting embedded in steps and discrete slot drains for drainage.

The paver feature bed now has a stunning Bloodgood Acer setting off the dark pavers beautifully.

Raised beds throughout garden were edged in 150mm CORE Landscape Products Datum Edge (Corten Steel).

We just love the colours of the Autumn Brown Sandstone Setts from London Stone installed on a recent project. Laid on 150mm lean mix concrete and grouted with Flowpoint Natural Grey.

The first batch of seedlings for the Holyport Village Show Big Veg Giveaway will be available at Holyport Cricket Club from 5:45pm this Thursday.

See previous post for details, but to help you enter the veg classes at the Holyport Village Show we're giving away seedlings for tomatoes, pumpkins, courgettes, runner beans and peppers. All you have to do is grow them on and try to enter your produce on 13th September.

The Holyport Village Show is packed with categories for the whole family from growing and baking to preserving and crafting.

At 329 Gardens, we love the idea of people growing their own whether it's for the fabulous flavours of heirloom varieties or the sheer fun of growing a monster pumpkin! Whatever the reason, we want to inspire young and old to have a go.

To get you started, we’ll be giving away seedlings for the following classes:

Pumpkins - The heaviest
Tomato - 5 matched fruits with the stem on.
Tomato (Cherry) - 10 matched fruits with the stem on.
Sweet Pepper - 2 mixed or any single colour
Courgette - A matched pair, each not to exceed 8” (203mm) in length
Runner Bean - 5 matched beans
Runner Bean - The longest bean

The plants are free (max 3 different ones per family). We’ll even pay your entry fee for the relevant classes. All we ask is that you leave your details for the Holyport Village Show to contact you and try to enter the Show on Saturday 13th Sept. We won’t contact you.

Follow us for where we will be giving them away and growing tips. It’s first come, first served and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
