One from the archives.

Conversion of Coatbridge Carnegie Library into 12 flats for social rent. We documented the vacant and deteriorating Category B listed building internally and externally before apply for consent for partial demolition and conversion.

Siberian larch timber cladding to the rear of the building will weather over time to become silvery grey. Completed 2018.

This was the project that sparked my interest in adaptive reuse and regeneration through restoration.

The design of this single storey extension to a lower ground floor flat was to create a family kitchen/dining/living room with as much natural light as possible.

The flat is in a conservation area and had an existing poorly designed extension.

Completed while working for a previous architecture practice- HOKO design. Role- project architect.

Internal alterations for a new kitchen and bathroom including some structural works to remove chimneys and create a new opening. Phase 1 of the project with an extension scheduled for the future.

Internal alterations to form new bathroom in a ground floor flat.
The existing bathroom took a large chunk out of the second bedroom making it an awkward shape, we proposed an orthogonal bathroom between the two bedrooms to rationalise the floor plan.
