Decking spotlights going into the fascia board 💡✨

This composite decking was seriously dense, so we had to go slightly “off-script” with the drilling method to get the lights fitted neatly — not exactly the unofficial handbook way, but sometimes the job decides the technique 😅

Careful measuring, clean cuts and a bit of patience made sure each light sat flush and finished the deck off properly.

A small detail, but it makes a massive difference once the sun goes down 👌

This solid composite decking was installed and cut in situ to get the picture-frame border sitting crisp and accurate. It’s a quality product, but being so dense, it takes patience, sharp blades, and a bit of graft to get those neat cuts right.

The end result is worth it — strong, smart, low-maintenance decking with a proper finished edge.

On this job we’ve been fitting the joists to one of the decks, making sure the base is strong, level and ready for the new boards. We’ve also been stripping off the old decking boards from the other two decks, ready to bring them back to life.
