I hosted a fabulous paint party for RAF Mildenhall SF with spouses and friends, and it was an absolute hit! The theme was Highland cow, and each painting turned out uniquely stunning -proof that creativity shines in all of us! 🐮

Not only was it an evening filled with laughter and connection, but everyone left with their very own masterpiece. It was inspiring to see the joy on their faces as their paintings came to life.

If you have been to my paint parties, you know that I truly enjoy sharing the creative process of painting. From using premium-quality paints to carefully sketching out the dark shadows as a foundation, every step matters. We then build dimension by layering the mid-tones and finish it off adding highlights to bring each painting to life.

This jacket is more than art -it's a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who served. Each aspect connects us to the legacy of the 100th Bomb Group , known as the 'Bloody Hundredth' for their heavy losses during WWII.
The centerpiece is 'High Life' inspired by the B-17 Flying Fortress. This aircraft completed 12 missions before crash-landing in Switzerland, where its crew remained until the war's end. The jackets owner wanted a throwback to the original artwork while adding some personal details.
On the shoulder, the Square D insignia represents the 100th Bomb Group. On the other, the Buzzard patch pays homage to the 351st Bomb Squadron, a unit that flew out of Thorpe Abbotts.

50 missions represented by 50 bombs. Each bomb painted serves as a solemn testament to the grit and sacrifice of its crew.

Seriously cheesing so hard at having had the opportunity to see so many paintings by my all-time FAVORITE artists, Gustav Klimt. It was the inspiration I needed to get involved with all aspects art, including making FB posts to update ya'll with my art. Thanks Randee for the tips!
