Another quality repair completed by the RDL team this morning.

Rob and Liam attended a customer’s property to repair a ceiling damaged by a leak. The affected area was fully boarded and skimmed, with the new plaster seamlessly blended into the existing ceiling — leaving the finish looking as good as new.

Thanks to the unpredictable British weather putting a pause on our rendering works, we were able to offer our customer a quick turnaround and complete this job at short notice.

This morning the lads worked extremely hard to complete a kitchen skim to the highest standard, with precision, care, and attention to every detail.

A mixed couple of days, but once again some fantastic results from the team. 👏

We had a different situation arise this week where a customer felt their front room had only received a single coat. The walls had been inspected closely with a light held flat against them, despite the finish appearing immaculate even under strong lighting conditions.

Unfortunately, we are unable to share video evidence due to GDPR, but as always, we put customer satisfaction first. Rob and the team made the decision to return and re-skim the room to ensure the customer was completely happy with the finish.

I personally viewed the work and can honestly say the original finish was to an extremely high standard, but the team completed the additional work, got paid, and walked away knowing they had done everything possible to deliver the service we pride ourselves on.

I couldn’t be prouder of the attitude and professionalism of our team. It’s not just about doing the job — it’s about standing by our reputation and always doing the right thing. 💪

🚨 **We’re opening up our diary!** 🚨

Over recent months we’ve unfortunately had to turn away a lot of customers because we’ve been booked so far in advance.

Behind the scenes, Emma has been working hard to grow the team, and we’re excited to announce that we now have a full **boarding and skimming team** in place.

This means we can now operate as **two teams**, giving us **twice the availability** and allowing us to take on more projects without compromising the quality and finish we’re known for.

Whether it’s plastering, boarding, or rendering, we’re ready to help more customers bring their homes to life.

Another job where doing things properly matters 👷‍♂️

Today we attended a customer’s home after they returned from holiday to a flooded kitchen caused by a faulty toilet cistern.

Once Liam carefully removed the damaged ceiling, it was clear the issue went further than just the plasterboard — the joists were completely saturated. Although the plumber had repaired the leak (which Rob confirmed on arrival), the timber now needs time to dry properly before any reinstatement can begin.

Rather than rushing the job and risking future problems, we do things the right way. The ceiling will be reboarded, prepared and finished to the highest standard once the area is ready.

We’ll be back Saturday to continue bringing this kitchen back to life.

What an exciting week ahead… but it’s going to be a busy one! 👷‍♂️💪

Rob and Emma are celebrating their 10-year anniversary, Rob turns 50, and Tom the boarder is making them both grandparents! 🎉 Now that’s some incredible milestones all in one week.

The weather isn’t exactly on our side for rendering at the moment 🌧️, so we’re switching things up and keeping busy with boarding, pulling down ceilings and plenty of plastering.

No matter what the weather throws at us, the RDL team keeps moving! 💪
