Food for thought..........

We were tagged in a post last week on one of the Arbroath pages (thanks for the mentions 😘) We carried out the job yesterday and the customer is delighted! But.......

The customer had a direct message from someone claiming to be a locksmith saying they would change the lock and handles for £150.00 this was without seeing any pictures etc. They also wanted the £150.00 upfront transferred to a paypal account 🤣 They promised to arrive the next day and do the job 🤦‍♂️

No real locksmith will ever ask for payment upfront. If they do then that is a red flag 👊💥

The customer rung me on friday. I diagnosed faults with both doors over the phone, told her she doesnt need barrels, your upvc doors are sitting squint and your handles need replaced due to sea air 😁

244 keys cut for one of our commercial customers we have looked after for the past 10 years!

Majority of keys look the same but they are not. Every key is tested either side of the lock multiple times before passing the test.

We build up a lock for each key setup and this ensures 100% compatibility.

Having the right working environment makes all the difference. It is very much makeshift at the moment but once completed we are in a league of our own 💪😎

On another note we keep getting asked about our old place in Montrose! We are no longer there and have not been there since september 2022 😂 The sign is far too high for removal so it can bide there until it falls off 🫶

Our purpose built workshop will house all of our stock and equipment (we have lots)

We will have an office and all of our key cutting equipment set up. We cut keys for commercial customers only and usually 100+ at a time. We also cut keys for locks we have built ready for installation.

We are very excited to see it all finished and have a shed warming party 🍺

Customer rung us up just as we pulled into a farm and said he was down the aerodrome with dogs locked in the car along with the key 🤦‍♂️

About turn and realised when i got there my tall van doesnt fit under the barrier 😂 oot with the tools and a wee walk down to the bottom!
