16th June: I prepared some supermarket new potatoes, grown in Lincs, for dinner yesterday. They were scabby & had big areas of black in them. Despite the fact my first earlies are not ready yet, I dug up a small plant today to check condition. Perfect little Pink Fir Apples. 👍😁

16th June: 3hrs pumping water, planting some ott spuds to see if they grow, strimming, weeding & chatting to neighbours at the plot today. It got very warm.
Some pretties from the garden today.

13th June: More of my seedlings inside & out have been eaten despite coffee grounds, wool & netting.
So, following my plant raid at the garden centre yesterday I’ve finally been able to start populating tunnel 2 with some decent sized plants.
Cues, toms & the peas (£1 each on the reduced shelf).

The raspberry bounty is building. Lots more to come. 😁

12th June: For whatever reason my tomato plant seedlings are just not growing. We had 120 plants last year. Gave in & went to the garden centre. Got a sensible number of decent plants + raided the reduced to £1 shelf. They are all watered & resting in Tunnel 2 ready to plant out tomorrow. 🤞

12th June: Another 11mm of rain over the last 24hrs. The water butts are full again & hopefully the water table is at a good level.
Much warmer this morning with some nice early summer weather to look forward to in the coming days. The grass & weeds will no doubt also put on a growth spurt.
