I am hiring!!
I would like to give a local person a job.
Ideally someone semi-skilled or skilled with a trade background or as a minimum, labouring experience. Any trade experience valued as training provided. Personal qualities prioritised over qualifications - you must be reliable, punctual, polite, respectful, enjoy physical labour, be able to work in all weather and have exacting standards for detail.
You must also pass an annual CRB/DBS check, have a valid driving license and your own vehicle. Starting salary dependent on experience but progression will be rewarded.

Customers - every project will continue to be overseen by me so that the same high standards you have come to expect are maintained.
As well as giving a local person a job, this small expansion will allow me to focus more on management, design and in particular, developing other areas of the business. I will still be ‘on the tools’ for some projects and if you’ve booked me to personally deliver your project that is still exactly what you’ll get.

This garden was formerly artificial grass/paving & basically had no soil. So we decided to build up, forming two asymmetric planters & imported over three tonnes of compost to fill them. Privacy was an issue which we addressed with fencing & a new gate. We added archways for height, interest & as a framework for climbing plants, constructed a nice cabin to the rear & finished with a crisp, modern porcelain paving throughout.

Bespoke contemporary pergola for partial shade, to improve privacy and define a cosy lounge/dining area. The timber deck appears to slice into the adjoining landscape, installed with hidden fixings for a more streamlined finish and then faced with oak sleepers to match an existing planter.

This contemporary split level garden is among my personal favourites.
- Porcelain paving with colour matched grout for a crisp, modern, hard wearing finish.
- Lower snug area with contemporary sleeper seating supported on gabion cubes.
- Upper dining area defined by an L-shaped railway sleeper planter, avoiding the need for an unsightly balustrade while creating division/privacy for the lower level.
- Fencing replaced on all three boundaries, carefully planned to frame the stunning downland views, while maintaining light and privacy. Hand-made slatted fencing for a more contemporary look on the elevation facing the house.
- Existing steps and retaining wall repaired. Provision for external lighting and power sockets.
