It might be the Christmas season but my head is already in the springtime.
The wonderful Sean Anthony Pritchard, House & Garden Magazine and Chelsea Physic Garden have all been obsessing over Pelargoniums in the last 6 months and I have to say I'm right there with them. Forget the scarlet, plastic potted, bedding plant variety, instead we're talking divinely scented leaves, delicate star like blooms and silver velvet foliage. The sheer cornucopia of varieties means that there is something for everyone, even a coca-cola scented one (Cola-Bottles) which my boys all love.
The national collection is up at Fibrex Nurseries in Stratford-upon-Avon but will be broken up and rehomed between the RHS and English Heritage later this summer so, if like me, a Geranium makes you giddy get there before it's too late.

Happy Scented Summer Dreams x

The Blonde loves fine wine and cake - preferably taken together and this is one of his favourites. Austrian Curd Cake. Enjoy until your tummies are full.

This divine cake is a firm family favourite and serving here at Castle Farm guarantees a brief half an hour of adoration from my boys.

One of the UK’s most respected chefs, Raymond Blanc was born in a tiny rural village near Besançon, in eastern France. His two greatest inspirations were the terroir of the Franche-Comté region, between Burgundy and the Jura mountains, and his mother, the formidable Maman Blanc, who lovingly created…

Great morning spent with the team at seeing their new factory and talking beer. They even sent me away with a case of Exmoor Gold! Another amazing business.
