Merry Christmas from all of us at Jack Downes Plumbing and Heating LTD🎄🎅🏼

Id like to thank all of our new and existing customers this year for your continued support over the past 5 years as we continue to grow our team.

Going into 2026 we are operating with 2 gas safe engineers myself and Andrew.

Lucas continues his apprenticeship with us continuing in his 3rd year.

Adele continues to run the office side of the business making sure we run efficiently and smoothly day to day.

Our team is growing!

We're pleased to announce that we have been joined by Andrew Brown, a Gas Safe Engineer who will be working with Jack and Lucas moving forward.

Andy comes to us with 35 years+ of experience in a variety of sectors. As a team, we have juggled a lot in 2025, meaning some people have had to wait for our time (and we have worked some long days!).

We have been grateful for the help of Alex at Aplux plumbing, who has stepped in on numerous occasions to assist when we were swamped, but we needed to make a more substantial arrangement.

We are very pleased that he has agreed to join us part-time in 2026. Welcome to the team Andy!

Finally finished my own main bathroom only taken about 9 months 🥴

Nothing particularly wrong with this previous bathroom but we smartened it up, removed toilet boxing and installed a niche in the bath.

First fix:
•Move all pipework to suit new suite. New soil stack. New hot, cold, flow and return pipework. Plasterboard new stud work ready for tiling.

Tiling:
•Tiled bathroom in a grey 600x300 tile with a 600x600 pattern floor.

Second fix:
•Install new suite
Sealed up for a seamless water tight finish.

New Ensuite: ✨ 🚿

Rip out and 1st fix:
Due to a leaking shower which had left the floor and walls rotten, we fully stripped this bathroom back to bare brick and stud work.

Fully plaster-boarded and a new 22mm chipboard floor was installed. Bathroom was fully repiped with completely new waste pipework.

Electrical:
Bathroom was fully re-wired with 4 new angled Ansel spots and Xpelair fan.

Tiling:
A total of 1250 tiles in this bathroom which seemed to take an age to do! 😂 Metro tiles on the walls and a hexagonal star pattern floor. Bal Ash grout on the walls with a Bal white Epoxy floor grout.

Suite:
Matte black and brushed brass accessories finish this bathroom off nicely.

•Existing waste pipework.

First fix:
•Move all pipework to suit new suite. New hot, cold, flow and return pipework. Plasterboard ready for tiling.

Tiling:
•Tile bathroom walls in a bone white 600x300 tile with a 600x300 grey floor from

•Install new suite from Atlas bathrooms.
•Seal up for a seamless water tight finish in colour match silicone.

FIRST FIX:
-Repipe the whole bathroom and alter waste pipework to suit new suite.
-Rewire from switch and install new Ansell spots.
-Install new shower tray.
-Tank shower area.

TILING:
-Tiled the full bathroom walls complete with Walnut grout and brushed chrome trims.

Pulled up the old grey wood effect laminate and removed all the skirting and architrave. Tile the floor in a nice new Pattern floor complete with Mapei Manhattan grout.

Installed new skirting and architrave to finish it off.
