This is one of our recently completed residential projects in the Preston Park Conservation Area of Brighton.

We became involved at an early stage in the project when the Client was purchasing the property and in need of project advice. We visited the property, met the client and discussed the design, planning approvals and technical design with them.

The project was a side return extension creating a generously sized, naturally lit open-plan living/dining/social area. Internal alterations were also carried out and the interior was updated throughout.

We regularly undertake similar projects in Brighton and Hove and have an excellent record of securing planning permissions in Conservation Areas.

This project is a recently completed extension of a double-fronted house in the Preston Park Conservation Area in Brighton.

We provided designs to create a new contemporary open-plan kitchen/living space to the rear of the property. This involved installing new cranked beams to support the second floor above, a structural glass side return and large industrial-style glazed screens and doors.

The interior includes hand-made kitchen doors, a micro-cement floor finish with underfloor heating, a walk-in larder, a utility room, a WC and cloakroom area and specialist paints finishes.

Swipe to the see before shot.

We were appointed by a developer client on this project to create concept designs for a two bedroom double-fronted detached house in Christchurch.

The existing house was in a original condition, but also in poor state of repair. The accommodation was limited to three small bedrooms and the ground floor layout was unsuitable for modern living.

However the plot size was generous and we identified an opportunity for substantial extensions to the rear and internal re-planning throughout.

Planning permission has since been granted for two-storey and single-storey extensions with internal alterations.

Creating:
▪️ Master bedroom suite
▪️ 3 additional bedrooms
▪️ Family bathroom
▪️ Separate utility space
▪️ Office accommodation
▪️ Large open plan living areas opening onto the garden and new patio area

The building as a whole is being upgraded to meet compliance with current Building Regulations and to reduce ongoing energy usage through solar panels and passive thermal measures.

We were recently invited to develop proposals and ideas for this large detached house in Central Brighton.

We designed a contemporary rear extension; creating a large open plan living area with kitchen, dining and space for family activities.

This project is the conversion of an outbuilding into a one bedroom residential annexe.

The site is within the curtilage of a listed farmhouse in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The new extension uses materials to match existing but in a contemporary form. The accommodation will be to a high standard with fabric first thermal improvements to the existing structure.

On the same site we have already gained planning approval for a new gym, a new single-storey courtyard extension and external alterations to the main barn.

We have recently been granted planning permission for extending this large family home in Central Worthing. The building had a checkered planning history including enforcement notices and planning refusals following works by the previous owner.

We worked closely with the client to establish their brief and to develop concept designs for both the new extensions and internal alterations to improve the layout. During the planning period we acted as the client's planning agent which involved a period of negotiation to the point where application was successful.

We are helping the family create their ideal home and will shortly commence with technical drawings, specifications and tendering of the works.
