Kathryn matthews contemporary landscape painter in oils Kathryn has been painting professionally since leaving artschool in 1993.

Her studio is in the lovely Shoreham by Sea but she exhibits all her latest work in Two Kats and a Cow Gallery which she set up in 2001 with fellow Brighton artists Katty McMurray and John Marshall.

I'm so happy to support .
My painting 'Hove Regency In Gold' raised £1100 in the charity auction. Thanks to the Brighton and Hove Albion player who was the highest bidder and will be taking this home. 100% of the money goes directly to funding research into rare conditions.

A very busy year indeed in 2025! There were highs and lows. A big new Sussex Collection, a mini film documentary by .media, lots of lovely commissions, an absolute joy of a collaboration with and fun times with the kids 😍I'm back in the studio on Monday and can't wait to get started on some new paintings inspired by recent travels and people watching.
In the meantime you'll find me at Two Kats And A Cow. Pop in if you'd like to commission a piece or want to see my current collection.

A taster of the new Sussex Collection heading to the arch this week in time for the launch on Saturday at Two Kats And A Cow.
Featuring my favourite place to get away from it all, walk and have a nice cup of tea;
as well as new paintings of Brighton and Shoreham as seen from the South Downs. Ooh and the new little character portraits with gold/ silver leaf
