It’s all about finding the right balance.⁠

In this bathroom, we’ve paired soft, warm neutrals with contrasting black artwork and subtle brass accents.⁠
⁠
The curves of the freestanding bath and arched mirror soften the more structured wall panelling and rectangular frames, while the herringbone flooring brings warmth and movement to the space.⁠

It’s a lovely example of how mixing shapes, textures and finishes can give a neutral room so much character without making it feel busy.⁠

It’s one of those design decisions that can completely change how a room looks and feels.⁠
⁠
For this sitting room, we designed bespoke joinery to make better use of the alcoves, combining open shelving for displaying favorite pieces with closed cupboards to keep clutter out of sight.⁠

The result is a space that feels more organized, considered and, most importantly, works better for the people living in it.⁠
⁠

Some details are simply too beautiful to be lost to time.

During a rather brutal 1970s renovation, many of the original architectural features of this beautiful Regency property in Brighton were stripped away, taking much of its historic character with them.

Our vision was to bring that character back.

From reinstating the beautifully ornate cornicing to restoring architectural details sympathetic to the building’s Regency heritage, every decision has been carefully considered to give this room back the elegance it deserves.

Melanie explains how we were able to respect the history of a property while creating interiors that work beautifully for modern living.

Sometimes, it’s the smallest corners that have the most potential.⁠

In this sunroom, we introduced bespoke built-in seating to create a cosy spot overlooking the garden. Soft pink upholstery, textured cushions and plenty of natural light bring warmth and character to the space, while keeping everything feeling open and airy.⁠

This beautifully considered drinks and breakfast station has everything guests need, neatly tucked behind closed doors when not in use. From morning coffee to an evening glass of w**e, it’s designed to make the suite feel that little bit more like home.⁠

With the sea just beyond the windows, it felt natural to let those coastal tones find their way into this suite.⁠

Deep blues create a calm, restful feel, while softer shades, warm timber and touches of brass keep the space feeling welcoming and relaxed. ⁠
A subtle nod to Brighton’s seaside setting, without making the interior feel overly coastal.⁠

The Details... that shaped the design.⁠

For this suite in a Regency hotel in Brighton, it was all about finding the balance between what was already there and how the space needed to work today.⁠
⁠
Original cornicing and beautiful bay windows sit alongside softer curves, warm brass, tactile fabrics and clever built-in details. Each decision has its own purpose, but together they make the suite feel considered, comfortable and connected to the character of the building.⁠

It’s the mix of colour and texture that makes this corner feel so inviting.⁠

The deep blue sofa and curtains create a rich, cosy base, while the mustard cushions add just enough warmth and contrast. We love how the soft texture of the curtains adds another layer without making the space feel heavy.⁠
