Our customer did not have a working chimney so for this installation we installed a new chimney system and connected it to this new Termatech stove. We spray painted to flue pipe black to match the stove and the the chimney on the outside of the building was left a polished stainless steel finish.

For this project our customer wanted a modern stove within a traditional chimney breast with an oak beam and recess above for their TV, we also dressed the rear of the opening with brick slip tiles to give the impression of an exposed brick wall. The house did not have a masonry chimney so we installed a new chimney system. Our customer was thrilled with the result and we are looking forward to seeing it decorated.

The main challenge with this project was that the opening within the fireplace surround was considerably bigger than the stove our customer wanted to install so we carefully scribed in a paintable heatproof board and fitted it over the hole to cover the gap around the stove.

Our customer wanted us to widen the opening to increase the space around the stove so we undertook some minor building work to re-size the opening and raise the height of the load bearing lintel. Looking forward to seeing it decorated.
