Adepticon swag bag 2024. Space Ork of unkown manufacturer. Given to me by colleague from work as a gift. Nice to do a one-off paint job. Totally prefer it to painting a squad, or numerous necromunda walls lol

I liked his proportions and the odes to original 90's plastic space orks, which were my favourites. Did air brush underpainying, then blocked in colours, oil washed and highlighted the next day

Managed to finish off my original gangster necromunda terrain. Watched a few you tube videos on the subject. Did weathered metal rust and slime. Gave some of the panels some colour, will probably try to group colours together vertically for next assembly. Painted the sides of the cardboard and it does make a big difference, really need to spray varnish it. All ready for a 2026 necromunda campaign starting at a local game club

OG Cawdor Necromunda N95 Gang. Restored from their original blue paint job to red. These are the Clean Freakz. The clean up crew. Like British daytime TV house cleaners dealing with the toughest sump slime deposits and hoarding issues.

Have been painting up some original necromunda 95 terrain for an upcoming campaign in the new year. Doing service to a much loved childhood toy. The number of sleepy sunday afternoons sprawled on the floor dreaming of rolling double 6 on the territory table. Paging the manuals numerous times. I did play a campaign or two but i cant remember much of it, other than getting swooped down on by some spire dwellers (i know who and what they are now)

Cawdor team over half done too

Ive made an extractor for my airbrush. So its course filter in the hood with two pushing fans (quite noisy but on a switch). Tube. 3stage filter with course, carbon, hepa13. Then a second hand extractor fan (i used to extract my computer radiator out the chimney in my old house). Then holy cardboard box with tissue in. Should be 99.97% effectice but ill try and get a particulate meter to test

Finally moved house and have managed to spend some time setting up the study to cater for warhammer and general crafting.

Have been securing shelves and repurposing old furniture. Got a few display cabinet lights (with a cheap green tint) which has led me to discover 1/8th minus-green lighting gel, which will hopefully be positive research.

Touched up the hearthkyn a bit and have started batch processing the other squad members. I think i can do squads if i spend my time focussing on a single model, then after a while of overthinking and overperfectionism i can suffer batch process repetetive painting.

Kids have enjoyed the war dollies. Lots of new school social dynamics being discussed between the deamons and goblins

Moving house waiting on solicitors means im making loads of models, but not painting them. I have some paints and i caaan paint them, but i can paint them better with all my tools setup nice. These were done with my discarded old paintbrushes that i gave to my two young daughters who have abused the brushes further for the last couple of years.

4-parter video playlist; music based on story in White Dwarf 479. I did also voice it but can't share for copywrite reasons. Doesn't mean you can't read your own copy of white dwarf along side the carefully arranged musical backdrop!!

I love Warhammer, I also wanted to learn and practice voicing a script better, which only comes through practice. I've been listening to a lot of Warhammer audiobooks, so doing it was a bit of fun.

I wanted to use my equipment BasszoneStudios and I like composing music along to voice/video rather than to a blank canvas or following genre rules.

I wanted to post it on YouTube and wanted to see what all the AI image generation thing was about so I installed a program that ran script through my graphics card to create a bunch of 40k inspired galactic images based on one of my much loved artists Frank Frazetta, whose art I've tried to ape since I was a teenager (unsuccessfully)

I put the music only version first as I find the voiced story is quite overwhelming unless you actually have time and space to actively listen to it.

Aztec/slann temple base B. Scatter terrain for both yey olde and futuristic gaming tables

Have been printing these off over the last few months, but this weekend stuck one of the bases to some hardboard, milliput glued some stones down and sealed the base sections, sprayed grey, dark brown mud, glue and static grass, dry brush pale sand, black oil wash, then acrylic black and pale sand paint, with thinner for running the paint into cracks, shredded green open cell foam and pva into the cracks, then my mum gave me some moss which had been preserved in glycerine wedged down behind the stones, flowers are plastic but found on the floor next to a shopping centre exterior fake green wall, then stone pigments to break up the stone, flicked wet paint a bit, then more pale sand and black paint to finish.

Done. Got loads more to do...just did some light grey undercoat and a black oil wash to dry overnight
