Another big week helping out the team on this giant holm oak.
Sadly had decay at the base with half the crown already in serious decline.
3 days of very technical work both on the ground and in the canopy.
Dismantled and removed very smoothly.
Always fun working with old friends.
Until the next one

Dismantling and milling large cedar of Lebanon in Bristol.
Sad to see the tree removed but great that we were able to mill the majority of the stem with our Alaskan mill set up.
Very rewarding creating milled timber rather than processing for firewood.
Great job all round by the team as always.

Large dead cedar of Lebanon coming down.
Brilliant job by the team once again.
Video is from customers office.
Customer wa sad to see the tree removed however we were able to mill the stem rather than process it as firewood. Customer was thrilled to receive several milled boards to carry out projects with his children.
Milling photos to follow.

Large ash reshape in Henleaze today.
Elderly customer was getting hounded by her neighbours to pollard this big beauty as it “blocks light and drops to many leaves on residents driveways”.
We took a look, quickly decided we would not be happy to pollard/brutalise such a cracking specimen of an Ash. It’s one of the largest landmarks in the area completely healthy, no sign of dieback.
To the customers relief, we suggested a very sympathetic re shape on the lower crown and removal of any dead or dying growth.
We will now write a letter to neighbouring residents explaining the reasons for not pruning it heavily as they were hoping for.

Look after the trees out there guys. There are bigger issues than leaves on your driveway.

First job of the year.
Milling Ash in Pembrokeshire with my dad and daughter
This Ash up-rooted 6 months ago in high winds. There’ll be a second visit to continue milling as there is a lot to get through.
What a way to start 2022.

90 conifers removed over the last couple of weeks.
New owners of the property are undergoing major re landscape.
They intend on planting mixed native hedge in their place which will allow more light into the property and the woodland behind.
Stumps to be removed in January.
Certainly one of the larger scale jobs TF Trees has undertaken to date.
Thanks to the team of boys that dug in and kept the pace up day after day. You know who you are.
Very productive and enjoyable couple of weeks with a great crew.

2 x large poplar removals a couple of months ago.
This was a job that he asked us to join him on.
Both poplars riddled with fungi at the base and therefore deemed unsafe.
It was a great few days working along side Laurence Ford and his team.
The heat during the first week was a challenge but all executed perfectly with a very happy and relieved customer.

18 months ago Brendan was sat at a desk 12 hours a day and had been for the previous 12 years. He’d never touched a chainsaw.
Here he is this week dismantling a row of conifers like a pro. What a beauty.
Perfect example that enjoying your work is far more rewarding than earning big bucks doing something you don’t enjoy.
So nice to be part of his journey - including his ground staff
